‘Change for Better ‘ Release Ceremony

‘Change for Better’ (CfB) is a quarterly thought journal published by MKCL.

October – December 2011 (1st Anniversary) issue of CfB was released in a grand function at Pune on November 13, 2011 by Shri. Suresh Prabhu, former Union minister, Government of India .

The current issue (Oct-Dec 2011) of CFB carries a cover story on “ArthaKranti – an innovative proposal for socio-economic rejuvenation of India.”

Shri. Anil Bokil, the creater of ArthaKranti proposal, Shri. Bhanu Kale, Chief Editor – CfB and Shri. Vivek Sawant, MD-MKCL was present for the ceremony.

Shri. Narendra Khot,  made a public presentation on ArthaKranti proposal.

मी अपंग मुलगा बारावी नंतर संगणकाचे शिक्षण घेतले ना वशिला ना आर्थिक ताकद.

केवळ एमकेसीएल च्या पाठींब्याने प्रिया कॉम्प्युटर्स सुरू केले. कोऱ्हाळेसारख्या तहत ग्रामीण भागात ते सुरू केले होते. वीज, टेलीफोन इंटरनेट, अशा अनेकअसुविधांशी झगडलो ते आपल्या पाठींब्याने. पण आपल्या मदतीने मी सक्षम झलोच शिवाय ग्रामीण तरूणांना संगणकाचे शिक्षण देऊ शकलो, शेतकऱ्यांना, बेरोजगारांना मार्गदर्शन करू शकलो.

माझ्यासारखी नवी पिठी उभी करण्यात आपला सिंहाचा वाटा आहे. म्हणून आपण नव्या युगाचे शिक्षणमहर्षि आहात… एमकेसीएल च्या वर्धापनदिनाच्या याच शुभेच्छा !!!

शासकीय योजना अधिक पारदर्शकपणे राबविण्यासाठी महाराष्ट्र ज्ञान महामंडळाची मदत घेणार - मुख्यमंत्री

महाराष्ट्र राज्य ज्ञान महामंडळाने (एमकेसीएल) ऑनलाईन परीक्षा, ऑनलाईन प्रवेश प्रक्रिया आणि ई-गव्हर्नन्स आदी उपक्रम राबविण्यासाठी राज्य शासनाला वेळोवेळी सहकार्य केले आहे. यापुढे विविध विभागांच्या योजना अधिक पारदर्शकपणे आणि सुव्यवस्थितपणे जनतेपर्यंत पोहचविण्यासाठी राज्य ज्ञान महामंडळाची मदत घेतली जाईल, असे मुख्यमंत्री पृथ्वीराज चव्हाण यांनी महामंडळाच्या दशकपूर्ती कार्यक्रमात बोलताना जाहीर केले.
एमकेसीएलचा दशकपूर्ती समारंभ शनिवारी मुंबईतील नेहरु तारांगण येथे आयोजित करण्यात आला होता. उप मुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार, उच्च व तंत्र शिक्षण मंत्री राजेश टोपे, राज्यमंत्री डी. पी. सावंत, एमकेसीएलचे व्यवस्थापकीय संचालक विवेक सावंत, एमकेसीएलचे सर्व भागधारक, सदस्य, विद्यार्थी या कार्यक्रमाला उपस्थित होते.

देशात संगणक क्रांतीचा शुभारंभ करणाऱ्या स्वर्गीय राजीव गांधी यांच्या जयंतीदिनी स्थापन करण्यात आलेल्या एमकेसीएलने दहा वर्षांच्या कार्यकाळात महाराष्ट्रात आणि महाराष्ट्राबाहेर खूपच चांगले काम केले आहे, अशी प्रशंसा करुन मुख्यमंत्री श्री. चव्हाण म्हणाले की, तुटपुंज्या भांडवलावर सुरु झालेल्या या कंपनीने मिळालेल्या संधीचे सोने केले. माहिती व तंत्रज्ञानाच्या बळावरच भारत महासत्ता बनू शकणार आहे. त्यासाठी आपल्याला संगणक आणि अंकीय शास्त्राच्या ज्ञानाचा जास्तीतजास्त प्रसार करणे गरजेचे आहे. एमकेसीएल नेमके हेच काम करीत आहे.

हार्डवेअर क्षेत्रात प्रचंड क्रांती होत आहे. अशावेळी वेगवेगळ्या यंत्राचा शोध लावणारे शास्त्रज्ञ देशात निर्माण झाले पाहिजेत. त्यासाठी उच्च व तंत्र शिक्षण आंतरराष्ट्रीय दर्जाचे करण्यासाठी आणि भाषिक दरी दूर करण्यासाठी प्रयत्न केले जावेत, अशी अपेक्षा मुख्यमंत्र्यांनी यावेळी व्यक्त केली.

दहा वर्षात ६० लाखांपेक्षा जास्त लोकांना संगणक साक्षर केल्याबद्दल एमकेसीएलच्या सर्व संबंधितांचे अभिनंदन करुन उप मुख्यमंत्री श्री. पवार म्हणाले की, फायद्यात सुरु असणारे शासनाचे हे एकमेव महामंडळ असावे. आज असे एकही क्षेत्र नाही की, ज्यात संगणकाचा उपयोग केला जात नाही. जागतिक स्पर्धेच्या युगात संगणक आणि माहिती व तंत्रज्ञान ही महत्वाची शस्त्रे आहेत. संगणक ही आज गरजेची वस्तू बनली आहे. संगणक साक्षरता नसलेल्या व्यक्तीला यापुढे निरक्षर समजले जाऊ लागले आहे. यामुळेच एमकेसीएलच्या कार्याचे महत्व अधिक जाणवू लागले आहे. महाराष्ट्राबरोबरच राजस्थान, ओरिसा आणि परदेशात सिंगापूर, सौदी अरेबिया, घाना आदि देशात एमकेसीएलनी संगणक साक्षरतेचे अभ्यासक्रम सुरु करुन या क्षेत्रातील आपले स्थान पक्के केले आहे. डिजीटल स्कुलच्या प्रकल्पाला मिळालेल्या ई-इंडिया पुरस्कारामुळे एमकेसीएलच्या अभ्यासक्रमांचा दर्जा किती उच्च प्रतीचा आहे याची कल्पना येते.

उच्च व तंत्र शिक्षण मंत्री श्री. टोपे यावेळी म्हणाले की, नफा कमवणे हा एमकेसीएलचा उद्देश नसला तरी एमकेसीएलने आत्तापर्यंत शंभर कोटी रुपयांच्या वर रक्कम राज्य सरकारला दिली आहे. एमकेसीएलनी आत्तापर्यंत पाच हजार केंद्रांच्या माध्यमातून एक लाख युवकांना रोजगार व उपजिवीकेच्या संधी उपलब्ध करुन दिल्या आहेत. ग्रामीण भागातील विद्यार्थ्यांना संगणक साक्षर करणे ही एमकेसीएलची सर्वांत मोठी उपलब्धी आहे. यापुढील दहा वर्षांत एमकेसीएल अधिक प्रभावीपणे काम करेल आणि ज्ञानाधिष्ठीत व तंत्रज्ञानाने जोडलेला समाज निर्माण करेल, अशी अपेक्षा त्यांनी यावेळी व्यक्त केली.

उच्च व तंत्र शिक्षण राज्यमंत्री श्री. सावंत यांनी एम.के.सी.एल.च्या सहकार्याने ओरिसा नॉलेज कॉर्पोरेशन लि.ची स्थापना होणार असल्याची घोषणा यावेळी केली. यासंबंधातील अभिवचन पत्र श्री.प्रवीण कुमार राऊत यांना मुख्यमंत्री श्री.पृथ्वीराज चव्हाण यांच्या हस्ते देण्यात आले.

या कार्यक्रमास एम.के.सी.एल.च्या ऑलिम्पियाड उपक्रमात सहभागी होऊन राष्ट्रीय आणि आंतरराष्ट्रीय ऑलिम्पियाड स्पर्धेत सुयश मिळविलेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांचा तसेच माहिती व तंत्रज्ञान क्षेत्रात उत्कृष्ट कामगिरी केलेल्या मान्यवरांचा सत्कार यावेळी मुख्यमंत्री व उपमुख्यमंत्री यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आला. एम.एस.सी.आय.टी.परीक्षेच्या अभ्यासक्रमाच्या अकरा भाषांतील सी.डी. चे प्रकाशन यावेळी करण्यात आले. एम.एस.सी.आय.टी. च्या अभ्यासक्रमाचे मूळ पुस्तक लिहिणारे टिमॉथ ओलियरी यावेळी उपस्थित होते.

Press Release: MKCL Launched Computer Literacy Course in 11 languages

Shri Prithviraj Chavan, Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra released the course in 11 languages viz. Urdu, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Tamil, French, Odia, Indonesian Bahasa, English, Marathi and Hindi.

Now Computer Literacy in 11 Languages:

Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation to offer its flagship IT Literacy programs “MS-CIT” and “MICIT” in 11 languages.

Shri Prithviraj Chavan, Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra released the course in 11 languages viz. Urdu, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Tamil, French, Odia, Indonesian Bahasa, English, Marathi and Hindi. “Now thousands of learners can easily take computer education in their own language”, The Chief Minister said after the release. He expressed that now the technology should aim at taking a quantum leap and receives all instructions using voice, which will further empower our citizens. He also stated that use of technology can now bridge the language divide. The power of knowledge would lead towards economic progress.

Shri Ajit Pawar, Hon. Deputy CM, Shri Rajesh Tope, Hon. Chairman, MKCL and Minister of Higher and Technical Education and Mr D. P. Sawant, Hon. Vice Chairman, MKCL and Minister of State for Higher and Technical Education graced the function with their august presence.

Mr D. P. Sawant, Hon. Vice Chairman, MKCL announced that MKCL’s “Computer Literacy Programs” are currently implemented in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Saudi Arabia; “Now the Literacy Program will be implemented in Orissa too. Like MKCL, OKCL (Orissa Knowledge Corporation Limited) will be established in collaboration with Government of Orissa and OS-CIT (Orissa State – Certificate in IT) course will be offered in the state of Orissa soon”, added Mr. Sawant.

Shri Dilip Walse Patil, Speaker – Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Dr. Ram Takawale and Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar conveyed best wishes to MKCL using recorded video.  

Representatives from 5000 centers of MKCL, Eminent author of MS-CIT book Mr. Timothy O’Leary from Arizona State University, USA, MKCL’s partners in Saudi Arabia, Vice Chancellors from various Universities and dignitaries from various fields were present for the 10th Anniversary Celebrations of MKCL.

Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) will now certify the WAVE programs of MKCL. Shri. Ajit Pawar released the replica of the YCMOU – MKCL Certificate during the ‘Decennial Celebrations’ of MKCL.

MKCL, through its IT Literacy Program, enabled 60 lakh youths of Maharashtra State to undergo computer education. In absence of this program about 40 lakh learners could have missed the opportunity of even touching the computer and becoming IT literate and Digital Citizen. The computer literacy advantage is evident if we compare the computer literacy situation in neighboring and other states of India, said Shri Ajit Pawar.

Shri Rajesh Tope, Chairman, MKCL proudly expressed that, till date MKCL has provided educational services and ‘eSuvidha’ to more than 1.25 lakh students. MKCL has got the powerful network of 5000 Authorized Learning Centers across the state, one will not find any parallel network of 5000 learning centers in the world. He requested Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra to offer more and more responsibilities to MKCL, which will bring more transparency in governance and effective implementation of policies using IT skills of MKCL.

MKCL started Maharashtra Olympiad Movement under the Talent Nurturance Program with a ‘Nobel’ dream to bring ‘Nobel Prize’ in Maharashtra. Students of this Olympiad Movement prepare for various Olympiads which paves the way towards fulfilling the Nobel Dream. Today 11 students who represented India in various Olympiads and one International laurels were felicitated during the event.

Shri Vivek Sawant, Managing Director, MKCL put focus on MKCL’s progress and addressed the audience. Ms. Revati Namjoshi did the compering and offered vote of thanks.

Greetings from MKCL!

It gives me immense pleasure to invite you for the Grand Celebration of 
MKCL’s 10th Anniversary.
The 21st century knowledge-based socio-economic development model enabled by 
the IT revolution was a great gift to India by our former Prime Minister 
Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi. On his first birth anniversary in the 21st century 
i.e. on August 20, 2001, Government of Maharashtra established MKCL 
with a mission to bridge the Digital Divide through the propagation of 
IT Literacy in all the strata of the society. In order to commemorate the 
completion of the successful journey of MKCL over the decade, a Decennial 
Celebration has been organized. You are most cordially invited to 
join us at this function.
